Moonee Valley Racing Club has appointed leading national hotel and hospitality brokerage firm HTL Property to exclusively market the leasehold interest in The Tote Bar and Dining located in the heart of the $3 billion Moonee Valley Park redevelopment at Moonee Valley Racecourse.
The Tote Bar and Dining launched in 2021, adjoining the magnificent Moonee Valley Racecourse offering a year-round racing calendar. The restaurant operates as an external hospitality venue to the track, which has thrived during race days, as well as successfully servicing the broader market during the week and outside of race meetings.
The restaurant offers a high quality fit out of both indoor and outdoor dining, private function space all complemented by its attractive gardens benefiting from the afternoon sun.
Located it one of Melbourne’s largest inner urban residential redevelopment projects. The restaurant is a well-known and popular operation amongst locals, and attracts patrons on race days as well as being a premier dining and function destination.
“Tote Bar & Dining is an attractive opportunity with a long lease available and an exceptionally presented restaurant with a high-quality fitout across the bar, dining and function areas,” said HTL Property Director Scott Callow. “We expect that there will be a number of established operators looking to take this venue to the next level given its expansive captive audience, as part of the Moonee Valley Park redevelopment” Callow said.
Moonee Valley Racing Club’s development partner is a joint venture between leading Melbourne developer Hamton and a $140+ billion superannuation fund Hostplus. By December 2025, Moonee Valley Park will be home to more than 1,000 residents, with 479 homes delivered. Following the imminent demolition of the Club’s grandstands, a further 1,500+ dwellings are set to be delivered over the coming decade along with a mixed-use village including a hotel, retail and office development.
The leasehold interest in The Tote Bar and Dining is being offered via an expression of interest campaign, closing Wednesday 3 December 2025 at 4:00pm.
