A popular hotel in a prominent region south west of Townsville has been listed for sale by Ray White Hotels Australia.
The Crown Hotel located at 119 Mosman Street, Charters Towers is being marketed by Leon Alaban and Sean Dollar of Ray White Hotels Australia. Mr Alaban said the property was located on a site of approximately 4,482 sqm and was being marketed as a Freehold Going Concern or Leasehold basis.
“The hotel is a popular local venue and has been enjoying strong trade across all departments,” he said.
“Adjoining the hotel is a strip of four retail tenancies with the potential to be demolished and converted into additional motel rooms or a large liquor barn.
“The property also has four street frontages to Mosman, Jackson and Lee streets, and Powell Lane.”
Mr Dollar said the hotel had a range of facilities including a public bar, bistro, gaming room featuring 20 EGMs; Keno facilities, dining area, beer garden and a drive through bottle shop.
“The site also has eight accommodation rooms and manager’s residence,” he said. “This is a great opportunity for an owner operator to secure something in a sought after location and we’re urging buyers and investors to register their interest to avoid disappointment.”
Charters Towers has a population of approximately 8, 200 people and is located 135 kilometres from Townsville on the Flinders Highway. The city is a regional centre for the mining industry, the beef industry and education and serves as a connector between the dominant coastal North Queensland region of Townsville, Burdekin, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island Local Government Authorities.
