On behalf of Receivers and Managers McgrathNicol, exclusive agencies HTL Property and Colliers respectively, today announce the successful sale of all four Public Hospitality assets publicly marketed for sale at the end of 2025.
The relevant and Sydney based assets include:
South Bondi Hotel (formerly Noah’s) – Bondi Beach
Diplomat Hotel – Potts Point
Empire Hotel – Annandale
Claridge House – Surry Hills
“The portfolio of assets offered to market have been acquired by more than one independent buyer group, and the speed at which they have all transacted speaks to the market appetite for built form, high presence hospitality opportunities in gateway precincts” advised HTL Property Managing Director, Andrew Jolliffe.
The specific sale process applied to all four assets was by way of on market Expression of Interest campaign; culminating in four successfully exchanged Contracts for Sale.
“This is arguably the most active on-market sale process we’ve been involved in, with consolidated enquiries exceeding 580, and incorporating 46 first round offers to purchase, consisting of Australia’s most recognised hospitality and tourism investors” added Colliers Managing Director, Matthew Meynell.
McGrathNicol were appointed Receiver over the five-asset portfolio of Public Hospitality assets in October of 2025; and having now sold four assets as aforementioned, are currently overseeing the sole remaining property, being the ornate Exchange Hotel situated in Sydney’s inner-west peninsula suburb of Balmain.
