A popular hotel prominently positioned in the centre of the commercial and retail area of Murwillumbah is listed for sale by Ray White Hotels Australia.
The Imperial Hotel located at 115 Murwillumbah Street in the far north coastal area of New South Wales, is being marketed by Nick Maclean and Leon Alaban of Ray White Hotels Australia on behalf of the Foran Family.
Mr Maclean said the hotel is located on a site of approximately 2,540 square metres and is being marketed as a freehold going concern.
“The hotel is situated with extensive frontage to Murwillumbah Street and has substantial pedestrian and vehicular exposure,” he said.
“It’s a two storey building with a ground cellar, ground floor trading areas and accommodation on the first floor.
“There are 20 guest rooms, a leased tenancy which features an Indian restaurant and onsite parking available for patrons.”
Mr Alaban said the hotel was a popular local venue that benefited from a solid gaming presence. “Although the gaming revenue is sound, there is an opportunity for the buyer to improve the hotels profit and trade by upgrading both the software and jackpot links,” he said.
“The hotel currently provides standard hotel rooms with shared facilities, and there is potential to convert them into motel, en-suited rooms which would allow for an increase in room rates.”
Mr Alaban said the hotel also included two bars, a bistro with two separate dining areas, a gaming room comprising 17 PME’s, function room and manager’s flat.Murwillumbah lies along the Tweed River and is a town belonging to the Tweed Shire, one of the fastest growing regional areas in NSW,” he said. “The shire has an overall population of approximately 80,000 and is approximately 850km north east of Sydney and 130km south of Brisbane.
“The town is the centre of a rich surrounding rural community and is well-supported for the tourism industry with established commercial and service infrastructure.” Expressions of interest for the property close at 3pm on
