Magnificent 7 – The Australian Hotel Sold by HTL Property

HTL Property is pleased to announce the sale of the Australian Hotel in Wingham.

The Australian Hotel is a freehold hotel that features a main bar, bistro, 11 accommodation rooms, 13 GMEs and is situated on a large 1,880m2* block. Wingham is a town located approximately 15 minutes drive West of Taree and has a population of over 5,000 residents with only one pub; making it one of the best pubs per capita locations in NSW.

The deal was brokered by HTL Property Directors Blake Edwards and Xavier Plunkett.

The successful deal was reached with the highly regarded and experienced North Coast publican Tim Smith, which involved a trade component of GMEs from one of the purchaser’s venues.

“HTL were able to structure a “win win” deal where both parties got what they wanted, it was a good outcome for everyone” commented HTL Property Director, Blake Edwards.

“Activity amongst buyers and sellers has increased markedly in 2024, with trade and interest rates stabilizing, operators have acclimatized to the new normal and are getting on with business” Edwards continued.

This is the 7th regional hotel HTL has sold this year; and which have included notable transactions such as Jerrabomberra Hotel in Queanbeyan, Station Hotel in Kurri Kurri and the Royal Hotel Armidale. HTL Property is in the process of finalising other transactions it intends to announce soon.
