HTL Property Successfully Sells Western Sydney Hotel to Marlow Family

The Doonside Hotel in Western Sydney has been sold in an off-market transaction negotiated by HTL Property on behalf of a private client.

Purchasers, the highly regarded Marlow Hotel Group, add the impressive property to a portfolio of large format pubs the family already own across Sydney.

The transaction was negotiated by HTL Property’s Dan Dragicevich and Sam Handy, and followed the leading agency’s recent successful sales within the catchment including the Town Tavern (Blacktown) and the Eastern Creek Tavern (Huntingwood).

“The Doonside Hotel presents various strategic investment fundamentals that appeal to experienced operators such as the Marlow Hotel Group, who themselves have a track record of creating well rounded hospitality venues which cater to all demographics” stated HTL Property National Director, Dan Dragicevich.

The business generates annual revenues of ~$8,700,000 across bar, bistro, gaming, wagering, accommodation and retail liquor.

The hotel boasts an expansive trading footprint, across a 7,278m2 landholding, 270 degree parking and strategic positioning within the Doonside retail and transport precinct. It separately provides a public bar, TAB, kitchen, dining, beer garden, gaming room, accommodation rooms and a drive-through bottleshop. The popular hotel also features a 4am Hotel licence with 26 gaming machines, and was ranked #179 for the June quarter.

The suburb of Doonside is located between Western Sydney powerhouse centres Rooty Hill and Blacktown; with the pub serving an exclusive catchment made up of not only Doonside residents, but also the neighbouring suburbs of Woodcroft, Bungarribee and Arndell Park.
