Famous Sydney Pub History On the Line

One of Sydney’s most aesthetically pleasing, and historically interesting hotels is for sale by leading national agency HTL Property.

Situated on the corner of Harris and John streets in the bustling harbourside peninsula of Pyrmont, the immaculately refurbished and hugely popular watering hole was meticulously renovated following a $5m capital works program shortly after being purchased in 2016.

Prior to receiving the wholesale makeover and which now incorporates a state of the art food and beverage operation, as well as a number of accommodation rooms, the stately hotel famously sat dormant and dilapidated for a period of 30 years.

“We enjoyed the good fortune to have sold our Vendor this important piece of Sydney pub history in 2016, and we are delighted to be exclusively engaged to find a new suitor for this rare offering” commented HTL Property Managing Director, Andrew Jolliffe.

“With the well publicised introduction of a new Metro station in close proximity to the Terminus Hotel, and the proposed further development of both the Star Casino and Harbourside Shopping Centre, few opportunities such as this avail themselves to the public market” Jolliffe added.

Spread over two levels and incorporating a hugely popular leafy beer garden, the Terminus Hotel draws loyal patronage from the 20,000 residents living in the suburb of Pyrmont, as well as the droves of tourist and white collar workforce that regularly frequent the area.

“Unique to this hotel is the fact that is it literally surrounded by a huge 40,000 strong workforce lead by geographically proximate firms such as Network Ten, Nova Radio, Google and AMEX. As well as enjoying patronage from the magnet like attractions the Star Casino and Harbourside precincts provide” advised HTL Property Director, Sam Handy.

“With the new Metro station soon to be completed in close proximity, and regular ferry services already in operation and walking distance to the hotel for commuters to and from Circular Quay and other destinations, the consequently underwritten footfall in the area is of material advantage to the hotel’s continued revenue capture” Handy concluded.

The sale of Sydney’s Terminus Hotel is being managed exclusively by leading agency HTL Property, and via an Expression of Interest campaign concluding 10 May 2023.
